  1. This DeskAccessory/Init set will give you a functional Mac implementation of an
  2. Hewlett-Packard 12c calculator. To install it, drop the INIT file (the one that
  3. looks like a little Mac) into your System Folder, add the DA to the list and 
  4. reboot (very important, for the INIT to load). You may add the DA to your 
  5. previously installed DA's either with Apple's Font/DA Mover or using Software
  6. Supply's Suitcase II.

  10. This DA has been used without ill effects on a MacPlus, Mac/SE and a Mac II,
  11. running under System 6.0.2. It runs satisfactorily when mounted via Suitcase II.
  12. It also runs ok under Multifinder.

  14. At the time of posting, I have found no other documentation on the operation
  15. of this DA; this means you'll have to experiment and see. I guess getting ahold
  16. of an HP-12's owner's manual could help...

  18. It has been impossible for me to determine who the original author is, and, due
  19. to this, I can claim no credit for this useful code, nor liability for any 
  20. damage it may cause. It seems to be a stable program and has caused me no 
  21. problems so far. Take into account that it is a very 'old' piece of code (circa
  22. 1984) and may prove to be unusable in future versions of the Mac OpSystem.
